01

Flights

Philadelphia-area guests may wish to compare current itineraries from Newark (EWR) and New York–JFK. Nonstop service to São Paulo has been available, but routes and schedules can change. Plan to arrive Friday, June 25, or earlier.

02

Recommended Airport

Fly into São Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport (GRU), the recommended major international airport for the wedding in Mogi das Cruzes.

03

Passport & Entry Requirements

As of September 20, 2026, U.S. travelers need a valid passport and an approved Brazilian visa before travel. The official eVisa portal recommends applying roughly two months before departure. Check current passport, visa, processing, document, and fee requirements before booking.

04

Getting From the Airport

Wedding transportation does not begin at the airport. Specific GRU-to-hotel guidance will be updated closer to the wedding; use a reputable transportation service and confirm your destination before leaving the terminal.

05

Transportation in São Paulo

Carolina and Jason recommend Uber whenever possible. If renting a car, confirm license and International Driving Permit requirements directly with the rental company, review insurance coverage, and familiarize yourself with local traffic laws. Parking is available at Casa Giardino.

06

Currency & Payments

Brazil uses the Brazilian real (BRL), shown as R$. Credit cards are commonly accepted, but some reais can be useful for smaller purchases. Exchange rates fluctuate, so check the current rate and any foreign-transaction fees before traveling.

07

Phone & Data

Review your carrier’s international plan and compare eSIM or local-data options before departure. More specific connectivity guidance will be reviewed closer to June 2027.

08

Weather & Packing

June is winter in Brazil. Mogi das Cruzes is generally mild during the day and cooler after sunset, with rain still possible. Along with Black Tie attire, pack a jacket, coat, or shawl for the evening.

09

Wedding Transportation

Casa Giardino is at SP-098, 3790, Vila Caputera, Mogi das Cruzes. Transportation to and from the venue will be provided for guests staying at Marsala Apart Hotel. Pickup and return times will be published closer to the wedding.

10

Important Travel Notes

Keep passports and important documents secure, use reputable transportation, stay aware of your surroundings, and consider travel insurance. Review the current U.S. State Department guidance shortly before departure.
